Bow Window Costs

Bow window prices can range anywhere from $1,400 to $5,200 installed (all of our price examples below assume 4 windows). Because this is such a large price range, we have provided three different window pricing scenarios to give you a better range of what your project will cost.

Bow windows are actually 3,4,5 or more windows with a frame separating the panes that fit together to create a subtle curve that provides an excellent viewing area on the inside and looks visually stunning from the outside.

Lower End Bow Window Prices

Lower end bow window prices will start at $1,400 and top out at roughly $2,600. These will usually involve a prefab set up, although this is not always the case. The frames will almost certainly be a vinyl or lower end composite material. Expect a pretty standard glass package and inoperable windows - no single or double hungs to access breezes. As with bays, you need to find quality contractors because the last thing a homeowner needs is air leaking through what is essentially a large hole in your wall.

Entry Level Cost: $1,400 to $2,600

Mid Range Bow Window Prices

Mid range bow window prices will start at $2,600 and top out at roughly $3,900. Here you will most likely have custom windows in a high end vinyl or lower end fiberglass or aluminum composite material. You may have some manufacturers that offer a wood clad in this range. Expect a nice glass package with a mid range low-e glass and fills. One or more of the side windows may be movable, often a single hung. For aesthetics, bow windows are often all non-movable even with expensive projects because they provide such a classy, uniform viewing area (that may be less so with open windows etc.)

Mid Range Cost: $2,600 to $3,900

Premium Bow Window Prices

High end bow window prices will start at $3,900 and top out at roughly $5,200. These are for creme of the crop projects and homeowners should be getting top quality wood clad or fiberglass clad windows with upgraded glass packages that use a top-of-the-line low-e glass and some type of spacer system (this will obviously depend on the individual manufacturer). We priced it out for 4 windows, but many bigger projects will use up to 6 windows (so you might be paying more than what?s listed here depending on how many windows you are using). The windows need to be mulled together and done well. The installation will be expensive on these projects - you can?t scrimp on a high end project, it needs to be done by professional contractors who don?t take shortcuts.

Premium Range Cost: $3,900 to $5,200

Installation Portion Of The Cost

Homeowners will spend somewhere in the neighborhood of $700 to $2,000 (included in the costs above) on the window installation. A more typical range is $700 to $1000 for a 4 window set up. However, projects that need lots of work to the size of the rough opening can get much more expensive very quickly.

Installation Cost: $700 to $2,000
